Congratulations Class of 2023

Congratulations Class of 2023

On Saturday, May 27, SMCA celebrated Senior Commencement for the Class of 2023. The ceremony
included our traditional candle lighting that symbolizes seniors passing knowledge to students who will
remain at the school, as well as individual prayers over the seniors by Mrs. Gilroy and Coach Nelson.
Pastor Marvin Harris inspired graduates to focus on Scripture as they leave SMCA, and Valedictorian
Hannah Crawford, one of five “senior babies” who have attended at least 12 years, encouraged classmates
to recall Philippians 4:7 in times of trouble: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall
keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Congratulations to the Class of 2023!

-Sharlene Thompson, Dean of Student Affairs
