Annual Living Bible Museum

Annual Living Bible Museum

In Elementary Bible, our Living Bible Museum is a well anticipated event for the elementary every year. Our fifth grade students choose a Bible character, study their story, write monologues (scripts), choose a costume and props for a set they are responsible to put together, and present their character. For weeks they prepare and practice. The character’s story becomes their story. The day of the museum, every elementary class is invited to walk through and press a button at each display to bring the character to life. Parents, grandparents, and guests of our fifth grade students are also welcome to come through and enjoy. Without fail, every year our students rise to the occasion and get our kids so excited about God’s living Word and His ancient rescue plan.

Our Living Bible museum did NOT disappoint this year. Our parents were so supportive and excited for this project. They all worked so hard and their hard work was evident! After weeks of preparation—they DID IT! I praise Jesus for my fellow teachers who were such an incredible team to work with in making these days possible. Special thanks to Mrs. Gibbs and Mrs. Baker for sacrificing their class time and schedule, as well as doing everything from crowd control to refilling water cups for our students. Thanks to Mrs. Horton for always being incredibly ready to support her teachers. Thanks to Mrs. Crawford for the use of certain supplies necessary to bring our museum to life. Finally, Mrs. Baden for hanging our students’ artwork on the walls of the museum for everyone to see and all of the elementary teachers for coming and giving such positive support and feedback. Our administrative team, staff, and parents made this experience a dream. After Covid years, seeing parents come through our halls, interacting with the students and seeing their kids bring the GOSPEL brought tears to my eyes as well as other people coming through. To God be all glory!
