SMCA Senior Privileges

SMCA Senior Privileges

Senior year is one that is longed for and worked hard towards. Being a senior at SMCA comes with some privileges, privileges that underclassmen eagerly wait for themselves. A favorite among these privileges is senior breakfast.   Here is what senior, Morgan Baker, had to say about senior breakfast, “On the first Friday of every month, the senior class goes out to breakfast. This is a great opportunity to spend time with my classmates to get to know them better. It is also a nice time to be off campus and relax in a more casual setting. We also get to see a different side of our principal, Mrs. Thompson. It’s nice to get to spend time with her to get to know her better.” Not only do they get to get out of class to eat, but they have time to build stronger relationships with their classmates. It is a break from the business that comes with senior year. Other senior privileges include:

  • the option of outdoor lunch and study hall
  • lining up first for high school lunch every day
  • traveling to a local scenic spot for a day of senior
  • taking a senior trip – such as the cruise offered this year
  • being honored by the juniors and their families at the Junior-Senior Banquet
  • staying home on a senior skip day
  • being celebrated at the last game of every sport’s season and every drama production
  • being prayed over individually at graduation
