Weight a Minute, Facility Upgrade!

We are excited to have been able to revamp our SMCA weight room this year.  We were able to put over $8000 into the facility to upgrade it significantly so that it will benefit our athletes more, and be functional for anyone wishing to use it, or take the weight training class that is now offered as a high school elective.  In the class students will be able to improve muscular strength, endurance, and tone through activities inside the weight room and out.  This class will cover strength, cardio endurance, flexibility, speed, agility, quickness and power.  It is a class designed to prepare athletes for more advanced training as well as give guidelines for strength training as a lifestyle,   We are excited to have this facility for our students, and particularly our athletes, to help them perform at the highest level possible.  We are also looking forward to summer workouts for athletes three times a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) from 3:00-5:00, so that they can develop during the off-season.  Stop by and check out this facility in the gym building.
