Celebrating Gratitude and Creativity: SMCA’s First-Ever Early Education Thanksgiving Parade

SMCA’s hallways were filled with excitement, creativity, and heartfelt gratitude as our early education students proudly participated in our first-ever Thanksgiving Parade. This joyful event brought together students, teachers, and staff in a celebration of appreciation and community—just in time for the season of thanks.

In preparation for the parade, our youngest learners worked diligently to create thoughtful cornucopias, each one carefully crafted as a special gift for administrators and staff members. These tokens of appreciation served as a beautiful reminder of the meaningful relationships built within our school and the gratitude our students feel for those who support them every day.

But the creativity didn’t stop there. Alongside their cornucopias, students designed vibrant artwork to showcase during their parade procession. As they made their way through the hallways, their masterpieces on display, the energy of the school soared. Upper elementary students lined the halls, cheering enthusiastically and celebrating the imagination and effort of their younger peers. The supportive atmosphere created a memorable moment of unity across grade levels.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all of our dedicated early education and elementary teachers, who helped bring this wonderful event to life. Their guidance and collaboration ensured that the parade was not only festive, but also meaningful for every student involved.

Most importantly, we extend our deepest appreciation to our incredible students. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and kindness transformed this first-ever Thanksgiving Parade into a heartwarming celebration of community and gratitude. They went above and beyond to make others feel valued—and in doing so, made SMCA proud.

We look forward to many more traditions that highlight the spirit, generosity, and joy of our school community.
