From Research to Presentation: Celebrating Senior Capstone Success

The Senior Capstone Project is a culminating academic experience that provides seniors with the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to connect knowledge across disciplines. Through a combination of research, composition, technology, presentation, and social skills, students apply what they have learned throughout their academic careers. Each project also integrates Biblical knowledge, encouraging students to serve a community, advance future career goals, and complete meaningful scholarly work.

During the first semester, seniors engaged in in-depth research on a controversial topic of their choice. They then completed an implementation week alongside a mentor, developed a comprehensive Capstone Portfolio, and prepared for a formal presentation before a panel of judges.

January 20-22, seniors proudly showcased the fruit of their labor as they delivered their final Capstone presentations. It was inspiring to see months of dedication, critical thinking, and perseverance come together.

Each year, the Senior Capstone Project awards a $250 scholarship and a graduation medal to one senior whose presentation exceeds expectations. Judges evaluate presentations based on passion, relevance, research quality, implementation, and biblical integration.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the Senior Capstone winner for the 2025–2026 school year:

Mr. Mathias Mason
Project Title: “The Impact of Negative Media Coverage on Policing.”

Congratulations to Mathias for this outstanding achievement, and congratulations to our runner-up, Saniah Dunn, and all of our seniors who successfully completed their Capstone Projects. Your hard work, commitment, and growth are truly something to celebrate!

With presentations complete, students can now take a well-earned breath as they transition into the next phase of their senior year and begin preparing for their fourth-quarter Exit Interviews.
