A Visit from a Local Historian

Local historian and South Potomac parishioner, Tom Belote, spoke to our U.S. History students about the Christian Heritage of our nation. He outlined God’s provision in keeping our Constitution intact for 235 years (a world record!) He spent time telling us about the Christian beliefs of our founders, how those beliefs influenced the documents and institutions formed and the importance of the church in keeping our nation great. He also showed students how to load and fire a colonial era flintlock musket!

Thank you Mr. Belote for volunteering your time and thanks to our students who were an excellent audience!
